So, here I am starting a blog and to be honest I didn’t initially know what to write about.
I was on the bus to work this morning thinking about how I can help other people and what would be my topic of choice, and then it dawned on me, I spend a good chunk of my day trawling the web for solutions to problems that encounter regarding servers, operating systems, network configurations and so on.
For most of my career I kept promising myself that I would keep a note of my work and my findings but as we all know, once you have finished one or two journals, they get filed, dumped into a drawer or misplaced.
So, here is an online journal of what I have come across and the fixes I found and the blanks that other documents left out or never finished.
Over the next few weeks I plan to populate this blog with more articles – so keep coming back.
My name is Peter, I’m 43 years old and I have been working in the IT sector for over 20 years.
I have been very lucky with the companies I have worked in, with the very odd exception.
I am just started my second year in a 4 year degree in Information Systems and its pretty cool – tough going, working full-time and college in the evening, and at my age … but as they say, your never too old to learn.
